Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Already Learning (“we,” “us”) provides a subscription web application that helps homeschooling families in Canada track their children’s progress against official provincial curriculum outcomes. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

This app involves information about children. It is intended to be used by parents and legal guardians to manage their own children’s home education records — it is not directed at children as direct users, and children do not create their own accounts.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with the service providers (“sub-processors”) that help us operate the app, and only to the extent needed for that purpose. Some of these providers operate infrastructure outside Alberta or Canada as part of their standard hosting practices.

We do not share your information with any other third party, except where required by law.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted at that time, other than records we’re required to keep for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, payment records Stripe retains independently for tax purposes).

8. Cookies

We use only the essential session cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app before the changes take effect.

10. Governing Law

This policy is intended to comply with Canadian privacy law applicable to this business, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), as applicable.
